STREATOR – Streator’s ambulance service provider is asking the city for financial support. Advanced Medical Transport officials presented their request to council members for contributions to maintain support for the greater Streator area. Vice President of Finance Tim Beccue said AMT has struggled financially with rising minimum wage, cost of equipment and medical technology. Advanced Medical Transport has been serving Streator since 2004 and partners with Streator Fire Department. Mayor Tara Bedei said the city will consider all of its options before making a final decision.
